Deutsche Buddhistische Ordensgemeinschaft (DBO)

The DBO (Deutsche Buddhistische Ordensgemeinschaft) is a charitable organization founded in 2008 for German speaking monks and nuns of various Buddhist traditions, living mainly in Germany.

Members adhere to the rules of the Vinaya, the monastic discipline developed by the Buddha. They meet at regular intervals to discuss their plans and projects and to practice together.

Their aim is to support and further the work of the ordained sangha, so that it can do its work for the benefit of others in a competent and authentic way.
